NATNET/ Materiality, Media and Practices

NAFNET is a free member-focused forum for debate around important aspects of Fine Art education in the current climate. NAFNET takes place on Zoom and sessions are recorded and can be accessed by NAFAE members afterwards.

Our March session Materiality, Media and Practices will be chaired by Maggie Ayliffe, Liverpool John Moores University, and Christian Mieves, Newcastle University.
How do we best encourage engaged, and open-ended material play in our studios and support our students to gain material knowledge and know-how at a time of diminishing budgets, resources and access to high quality art? Maggie Ayliffe and Christian Mieves, will share their current research around teaching collections and invite you to come along to share how you are working and innovating to keep our studios open for making.

This session is open to non NAFAE members.
