Article abstract
Aesthetics concerns the origin of human meaning in our bodily engagement with our physical, social, and cultural environments. Our capacity for making sense of anything emerges from felt patterns of bodily perception and movement, and this embodied understanding provides the basis for all of our imaginative acts of abstract thought and creativity. Art is thus the consummation of our human drive to make meaning.
