JVAP: Publishing Contemporary Fine Art Debate
About JVAP: The Journal of Visual Art Practice
JVAP is aimed at those involved in education at MA, PhD and MPhil level within what has traditionally been called the Fine Art sector. It addresses issues of contemporary debate within Fine Art institutions and studios encompassing both the theoretical and the practical. In recent decades Fine Art practices have expanded from traditional media to include (to name but a few):
- Installation
- Performance
- Film
- Multimedia
- Digital Media
These expansions have led to new critical debates that locate the new practices within a variety of cultural agendas. JVAP aims to place these critical debates firmly within the sensuous experience of art, an experience that is sometimes neglected by contemporary critical debate.
